A single day available, in a city that grew up facing the sea: from the water Trieste reads as from no other point.

Five minutes, not five kilometres
Anyone stepping off a ship has only a few hours, and the excursion bought on board nearly always begins with a coach transfer. Here the stretch of quay is covered on foot, down a gangway and straight to sea.
The return is to the same boarding point, a few hundred metres from the ship.
The time available
The trip lasts about three hours. The length of each call is shown in the calendar below: most calls leave a whole day, within which three hours at sea fit with a wide margin.
The return time is agreed at the time of booking, keeping a wide margin on the ship's departure. Given the name of the ship and the date of the call, we supply the most suitable time.

What you see
The boat casts off from le Rive and within minutes the city pulls away: the same view as those who once arrived by sea. Then Barcola, Miramare from the water, the cliffs of the coast road, a swim stop at Canovella degli Zoppoli and a toast below the castle of Duino.

How far is boarding from the ship?

Is there time to return before the ship leaves?
The trip lasts about three hours and the return time is agreed at the time of booking, with a wide margin on the departure time. It is enough to state the name of the ship and the date of the call.
How much does it cost?
One hundred euros per person, sixty for children up to twelve. Below four people the trip still costs three hundred and fifty euros. The boat is operated by licensed crew of Boat Rental Trieste: no boat licence is required.
At what time of year do the trips run?
From 15 April to 15 October. Outside those dates no trips are run, not even on days with ships in port.
How many people can the boat carry?
Up to six. The boat is seven and a half metres with one hundred and fifty horsepower, with licensed crew on board.
What if the sea is rough?
Trips go ahead only when sea and weather provide guarantees of safety. Otherwise the trip is cancelled and the amount paid is refunded in full. As a call lasts a single day, notice is given as early as possible.
How to book
It is enough to state the name of the ship, the date of the call and the number of people. The reply contains availability, the recommended time and the exact boarding point.
Trips run from 15 April to 15 October.
